Community Advancement and Rural Development Society (CARDS) is a
non-for profit organization registered with the Registrar of
Societies under Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act 1973. CARDS
does not subscribe to any political or religious affiliations.
CARDS is conceptualized by like-minded professional from different
segments of the society who have pledged for the upliftment and
empowerment of rural society particularly for the socially and
economically vulnerable. It takes up various need based and context
specific activities for the economic, social, cultural, educational
and environmental development.
It is administered by a legally constituted Executive Committee of
the board in adherence to the Society’s Act. It is committed to
secular and democratic methods of functioning.
Philosophy -
The philosophy of CARDS draws from the talisman prescribed by
Mahatma Gandhi -"Every action proposed or contemplated, should in
its implementation wipe the tears of poor and downtrodden person.
Only when we have wiped the tears from the faces of all, have we
truly arrived as a nation."
CARDS is committed for the social, economic and political
mainstreaming of the marginalized, disempowered section; through
awareness, knowledge sharing and generating sustainable employment
opportunities.
